This was our longest trip so far; we were gone for 5 weeks. About 3 weeks into the trip we were ready to come home but by the end of trip we decided we could have stayed longer.
On January 27 we flew from Portland to Dubai (DXB) which is part of the United Arab Emirates located on the Arabian penninsula. We had an overnight layover in Dubai, and then flew on to Bali, Indonesia (DPS). For those who want to know which miles we used for flights on this trip click here.

After 12 nights in Bali at 3 different locations on the island we flew to Siem Reap, Cambodia (REP) where we spent 4 nights and took a 3 day tour with Intrepid Travel. This was our first time in both Indonesia and Cambodia. Click here for notes on paying for part of our nights with points.

From Cambodia we flew to Phuket, Thailand (HKT) which is an island in the southern part of Thailand. We both had a bit of upset stomachs while there, but that turned out OK because there it turned out that there was not much to do in Phuket that we were interested in. After Phuket, we flew to Bangkok where we spent a week in the city. This was our third time in Bangkok and our first time visiting anywhere else in Thailand.

From Bangkok we flew to Hong Kong where we spent 4 nights in the luxurious InterContinental Hotel. We then flew home to Portland via Los Angeles.
