Machupicchu, Peru

It is a bit difficult to get to, involving flying to Cusco, taking a taxi and then train to Machupicchu Town (the locals use it as one word and do not call it Aguas Calientes).  Once in the town, there is a 25 minute bus ride up a very steep road.

Machupicchu is actually in the Amazon water shed, with its rain going to the Atlantic Ocean even though on the map it is near the west coast of South America.
